Extend Operational Run Times by Maximizing Reactor Pressure Delta Limits
An owner-operator wants to increase the maximum permissible load limits for the internal components of a reactor in order to extend operational run times. Reactor fouling results in buildup of organic solids, coke, or other biproducts on the catalyst bed. The fouling material restricts flow and subsequently increases the pressure delta across the catalyst bed or outlet collector. If the increased load approaches the load limit for the internal components, equipment and unit shutdown may become necessary.
Design By Analysis
Non-standard components of atypical geometry or complex loading conditions require more advanced techniques to qualify the design.
